AET Group is currently working on a challenging low-rise building project, designed for mixed residential and commercial use.

As an unconventional project, it demands an extraordinary level of dedication in its design.

It isn’t easy to desgn that typology of buildings!

AET Group is addressing the urban planning aspects of this mixed-use complex, focusing on a key challenge: how to achieve sufficient density without compromising the human scale, the quality of public space, or the neighborhood's identity.

To this end, the spatial analysis centers on urban block typologies featuring courtyards, active ground-floor functions, and a network of pedestrian pathways.

The core research questions are explored:

  • Should the residential units be organized around courtyards?

  • How should residential units of building be distributed across the various floors?

  • Should individual residential units span two or more levels?

The challenge continues...
